A gold lacquer four-case inro
decorated in iroe hiramakie, nashiji and inlaid in ivory and horn with a warrior fighting a tiger with a raised tanto, the reverse with another warrior holding a torch and carrying a bow and katana, the interior in nashiji -- 3¼.in (8.3cm) long, signed Shibayama and signed Shokosai on a mother-of-pearl tablet, (rubbed); with attached ivory and gilt-bronze kagamibuta netsuke decorated with a part-head and shoulders of Buddha with two small figures clambering to the shoulder -- 1½.in (3.8cm) wide.
