Miyagawa Shuntei (1873-1914), an oban concertina album entitled 'Bijin Junikagetsu' with twelve triptychs depicting bijin throughout the months of the year, variously illustrated as 'Badminton at New Year' (January), 'Prunus Blossom' (Febuary), 'Cherry blossom' (March), 'Peonies' (April), 'Wisteria' (May), 'Lillies' (June), 'Bathing by the Sea Shore' (July); 'Fullmoon on the Fifteenth Day of the Eight Month' (August); 'Autumn Plants' (September); 'Red Maple Leaves' (October); 'Preparation for a Wedding' (November); and 'Snowscene' (December), frontispiece with cranes flying out of a screen painted with pine, (light soiling to some leaves).
