signed Carl Zeiss Jena No. 4547, with triple nose-piece, fine-screw vernier adjustment (damaged), sub-stage condenser, plano-concave mirror, with prism, three objectives, three eye-pieces and other items, in fitted iron-bound mahogany carrying case -- 13.5/8in. (34.6cm.) wide; and a microscope lamp, with vertical adjustment, spirit burner, glass chimney and porcelain shield, in pine case -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high
