A pair of Chinese blue and white slender baluster vases and related covers, one with a Buddhistic lion finial, the other with a knop finial, painted with shaped panels of long tailed birds among peonies and prunus, on a dense ground of scrolling lotus flowers and between formal bands of ruyi heads and stiff leaves -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high, (one cover chipped and with finial restuck, both vases with section broken and restuck to neck.)
