Provenance
Adolph van Voorst's (1597-1663) copy with numerous ink manuscript annotations throughout. Van Voorst, a Dutch physician who specialised in botany, was three times rector of the academy in Leiden. A manuscript note in Latin to verso of free endpaper identifies him as the author of these annotations; a 5-line quotation in Greek to free endpaper from Contra Apionem by Flavius Joseph; Hope family bookplate.
