A Momoyama lacquer coffer and domed cover
with gilt-copper mounts, decorated in gold hiramakie and inlaid in mother-of-pearl with panels of tachibana, kiri, maple, cherry trees and vines within shippo and geometric borders -- 11½.in (29.2cm) wide, late 16th/early 17th Century, (old damage and some restoration).
