by James Swift & Son, with rack and pinion coarse focussing, fine-screw adjustment, mechanical stage, the body limb with axis, supported on a horseshoe stand, the lower limb with plano-concave mirror, with bull's-eye condenser, three objectives and other items, including the maker's original receipt To Mr. Harper, dated London 17th Sept. 1884, contained in a pine carrying case with lacquered-brass swan-neck handle and cruciformed braced mount engraved W.E. HARPER -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high
