A large famille rose baluster vase with widely flaring neck, painted and gilt with male and female Immortals on the backs of crabs, waterbuffalo, frogs, cranes and Buddhistic lions amongst foaming waves and below cloud scrolls, the shoulder with bats in flight amongst precious objects below a band of ruyi heads to the rim -- 34¾in. (88.2cms) high, blue enamel Xuande seal mark, Daoguang, accompanying reticulated barrel shaped stand with inlaid soapstone seat and applied mother of pearl studs to the rim, the frets inladi in mother of pearls with butterflies among fruiting vines -- 19¾in. (50cms) high, (minor inlay missing).
