An English late 18th Century carved and gilded frame, with foliate ogee at outer edge; outer scotia; the raised ovolo moulding with gadrooning running to acanthus-leaf corners; pin-and-ribbon-twist; inner scotia; astragal with imbricated husks running from banded centres to foliate corners; cavetto; the spandrels with anthemia flanked by scrolling foliage and flower-heads in low relief on cross-hatched ground; round sight edge with astragal and cavetto mouldings - diam. 13 3/8 x 5¾ in.
