A Louis XIV carved and gilded frame, with dentil course at outer edge; outer scotia; the shaped corners and centres of ogee moulding with anthemia flanked by scrolling foliage, strapwork and anthemia on cross-hatched ground; recessed sanded band; ogee at sight edge with running leaf pattern on hatched ground; restorations - 26½ x 20 7/8 x 5 1/8 in.
