An unusual small iron cage corkscrew,
with bevelled fold-over extracting handle, unmarked, possibly French, Archimedian screw.

Similar in prinical to the Shrapnel 1839 patent folding handle corkscrew with short cage and fixed collar retained by two screws, the cage with two flat spring tensioned side supports adjusted by butterfly wing nuts, the square threaded shaft released from the frame by a small flat tongue with adjusting screw.
