Clarice probably introduced the 'Milano' range in response to the plain, ribbed ceramics designed by Keith Murray for Wedgwood from 1933 onwards. 'Milano' pieces were made by taking existing shapes such as the 386, 341 and 342 vases and adding ribbing to them.
