A late 18th-Century brass circumferentor,
signed on the horizontal circle T. Heath Fecit, the compass box with engraved silvered dial, bubble level, iron needle with brass cap, mounted on the alidade limb with two sights and vernier (one sight possible a replacement) with additional mounting via two 'butterfly wing' nuts with arch support to mount a telescope or vertical half circle, the 9in. (22.8cm.) diameter horizontal circle with two fixed sights and wheat-ear decoration, with staff mounting on later mahogany and brass stand -- 11¼in. (28cm.) high overall
