Autograph letter signed ("affy. yours I. Brunel") to I. K. Brunel ("my dear Isambard") at 18 Duke Street, Westminster, half page, 4to with integral blank, 23rd Jan., year given as 1838 in another hand on the address leaf, with wax seal bearing the impression: "Thames Tunnel Works 1824."
A short letter of recommendation. "You know the bearer, it would be not only an act of benevolence to give him some employment but he is well qualified, I have understood, in the inspection of works of masonry of any kind."
