A Imperial group modelled as Kannon seated on the back of a caparisoned elephant, the Immortal wearing a cowl and flowing robes and holding a lotus spray and scroll, the elephant with elaborate body ornaments and fringed saddle cloth decorated with stylised flowerheads -- 13½in. (34.2cm.) high, signed Satsuma Kizan, impressed seal mark and remains of paper label.
