A baluster jar and domed cover moulded in relief and painted and gilt with Buddha seated on rockwork flanked by Kannon and numerous rakan and attendants, all surrounded by coiled dragons, cloud scrolls and scattered prunus blossom, all below a collar of overlapping folds tied with ribbons, each fold decorated with tengu and further rakan and attendants, all on a dark green ground -- 14in. (35.5cm.) high, signed Ninzan sei.
