A rare turn-of-the-century Gibson & Sons ceramic jardiniere of cylindrical form, with a frieze printed and painted in colours, depicting an Edwardian mixed doubles tennis match in progress, within a gilt-rimmed border band at head and foot, supported by three gilt bun feet, printed factory marks on base (gilt rims rubbed), 180mm. (7 in.) high.
