The rectangular top inset with a gilt-tooled black leather lined writing surface, with a gadrooned border, above a frieze carved with paterae and dentil-mouldings and fitted with two drawers, with drop pendants to the corners, on end standards centred with paterae, the bracket feet joined by a flattened undertier centred with a carved paterae
