Born in Paris, Belo began his career in sculpture under the influence of Etruscan Art. His exhibitions included La Sculpture Contemporaine in 1957 at the Musée Rodin, and collections of his sculpture are held at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris and Dallas. His linear forms are reminiscent of Laurens and Brancusi.
