The case with stepped and chamfered top with pineapple finial, ripple moulded borders, fishscale sound frets to the sides below cornucopia ring handles, with fielded brass panels to the front inlaid with foliate cut brass, on ball feet, the white painted Roman dial with strike/silent lever above XII, signed JAMES MC.CABE Royal Exchange LONDON 1380, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, pull trip repeat, with leaf engraved border and frame to the repeat signature on the backplate, with pendulum holdfast
