The hood with Greek key moulding to the swan-neck pediment, plain columns, conforming pilasters flanking the crossbanded wavy arch trunk door, on plinth with chamfered angles, the 11in. (28cm.) square brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, engraved centre (later gilt), steel hour hand,four posted pillar movement with replaced seatboard; associated, dial and movement circa 1725, case circa 1780
