Alphonse Giroux is well known as a maker of small items of furniture such as gueridons and jardinieres. He was established at Boulevard
des Capucines in 1857, but the business was taken over ten years later by Duvinage and Harinkouke. Among notable clients were Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie.
