An English 19th Century Thomason type double-action corkscrew
with smooth wood handle, possibly an old replacement, the ringed bronze barrel with badge marked Dowler Patent Ne Plus Ultra, traces of old gilding, wire helix; and a further 19th Century Thomason type corkscrew with turned bone handle and brush, (some damage) ringed plain bronze barrel, wire helix.
