A Regency mahogany and cut brass inlaid striking bracket clock, circa 1830
The stepped top with fluted moulding and gilt-bronze pineapple finial, fishscale sound frets to the sides below cornucopia ring handles, with gadrooned border to the rectangular base on ball feet, the white painted Roman dial with crescent moon hands (some chipping) and signed DENT BY ROYAL WARRANT 34 COCKSPUR ST LONDON 33021 (some rubbing), the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on gong, pendulum holdfast to the backplate with repeat signature and number, some inlay lacking -- 19¾in. (50cm.) high
