with painted features, grey hair moulded in curls with gold painted hair decoration, body jointed at shoulders with outstretched arms and moulded and painted pink ballet shoes, dressed in spotted net tutu -- 8in. (20cm.) high, probably by Dressel & Kister

This figure is modelled en pointe with a hole in her toe for a metal prong to attach her to a box and a similar figure can be seen on page 517 in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls by Frieda Marion and Norma Werner
