A 19th. Century cameo suite
comprising: a necklace of twelve graduated oval cameos joined by triple chains, the mythological scenes including; Mercury confining the infant Bacchus to the care of a Nymph; Hebe and the eagle; Jupiter Capitolinus; the dance of the daughters of Aloinius; Paris, Helen and Hector; Diana; Apollo Belvedere; muse with lyre; Minerva Medica after Giustiniani; Agrippina by the ashes of Germanicus; Mars resting; the clasp set with the Lupus Romana suckling Romulus and Remus; a pair of drop earrings depicting allegories of night and day; and a large oval cameo depicting Apollo driving his quadriga in gold cannetille haircomb mount with brooch fittings applied, all in a fitted case.
