Two battle scenes
possibly from the same Iskandernameh as the previous lot, gouache heightened with gold and Persian manuscript on paper, lines of minute nasta'liq above and below, showing: four men on horses fighting with one lying dead on the ground, and a soldier comforting another wounded one while a third leads to prisoners tied at the neck with rope, both mounted, framed and glazed, (rubbing and flaking, small areas of possible repainting), Timurid Persia, 15th century - 16.5 x 9.5cm.
