A prince and his mistress
gouache heightened with gold and silver on paper, the couple sit against silver cushions on a white marble terrace, the prince wears purple dress and holds out a gold cup to the lady with one hand as he holds a bottle with the other, blue and gold foliate border, similar pink outer border, on buff leaf painted with a gold floral lattice, mounted, framed and glazed, (very light wear, some rubbing and marking to borders), Mughal, 17th century - 21.5 x 14.8cm.
