A Coalport blue ground twin-handled pedestal bowl
the interior painted a bouquet of garden flowers, the border reserved with lesser bouquets within gilt scrolling cartouches, the exterior similarly decorated and the front with an armorial crest bearing the motto SPARE NOUGHT, MALUM BONO VINCE, the piecrust rim and foliate handles enriched with gilt, impressed 2, circa 1840 (slight wear to gilt, terminal of one handle chipped) -- 27cm. diam.
