A French gilt-metal and porcelain striking mantel clock, last quarter 19th century
The drum-shaped case surmounted by an urn, with lion mask mounts to the sides trailing swag handles, with painted porcelain panel depicting a house beside a river, on scroll feet, the porcelain dial with individual Roman chapters and painted with birds amidst foliage to the centre, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped on the backplate for HY.
