The waisted case with foliate mounts and finial modelled as a cherub atop an eagle, the glazed front door with relief mount depicting a twin-headed figure, possibly Prudence, the foliate cast gilt dial with plain white enamel centre, Roman cartouche chapters (one replaced) with outset Arabic minutes, the twin barrel movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, signed on the backplate Marc De La Mare Paris -- 32½in. (82.5cm.) high
