Two albums containing a total of approx. 400 albumen prints, sizes from 2¾ x 3½ in. to 6 x 8¼ in., variously mounted, the majority titled and occasional dates in ink on mounts, one inscribed in ink and dated December 1873 on front blank, the other with painted name Edith Frances Grant 1869 on front blank, half black morocco and blue morocco, the former titled Photographic Views and the latter initialled in gilt on front cover, lge. 4to. and oblong 4to. Lot Essay

One album contains studies of castles, abbeys and cathedrals at Lichfield, Kenilworth, Warwick, Salisbury, Carlisle, Walton, Hastings , Windsor, Wells and Bath and Romsey abbeys; an image of Clifton suspension bridge, views at Oxford, Sandwell Hall, and a view at Stonleigh park. The second album includes several studies of the Albert Memorial and views around Windermere including an image of coaches crossing on a houseboat and several lake scenes.
