A collection of approx. fifteen photographs, various processes including bromoil transfer, sizes approx. 6¾ x 9¼ in. to 19¼ x 15¼ in., the majority mounted on card and several signed and/or titled in pencil on mounts, several annotated, signed and/or titled and dated in pencil and a few with printed exhibition labels on verso, one framed; with a small printed leaflet titled A Selection of the Pictorial Works of Bertram Cox(a lot)

Lot Essay

Born in Norfolk in 1877, Bertram Cox first became interested in photography when he was training to become an art teacher. He experimented with various printing processes including the bromoil process for which he became best known. In London Cox became Secretary for the Pictorial Group.
