A quantity of photographs including three by Dorothy Wilding, approx. 11½ x 9 in. and 11½ x 8 in., mounted on tissue and then on card, the latter signed in ink on tissue, each with photographer's printed credit label on verso, the remainder various sizes, a few autographed in ink by various friends on recto; with a family album containing approx. 150 snapshots, dated 1938 in ink on mount; with various copies of newspaper clippings and printed ephemera. Lot Essay

Freddy Carpenter, the Australian dancer/choreographer directed the highly successful stage play "Oh Coward!", a tribute to Noel Coward, starring Ronnie Stevens, Judy Page and Richard Loring. In the early 1950s, during the period of "Ace of Clubs", Carpenter worked as Coward's personal assistant.
