A LARGE CYLINDRICAL BONE DIE, with nine facets each decorated with dot and ring motif indicating numbers up to nine, pierced centrally, scalloped edge at either end -- 1 1/8 in. (3 cm.) long; a bone die of cube form with central plug at either side, the numbers indicated with incised concentric circles -- 1 in. (2.5 cm.) high; another of whale bone, 7th-10th Century A.D. -- 1 in. (2.5 cm.) and 1¼ in. (3.2 cm.) high respectively; five others smaller, one with wax plug at either side, another dyed green -- 2 cm. high max.; and four gaming pieces including two bone counters -- 1¼ in. (3.2 cm.) diam. max., all Roman/Medieval period (12)
