the drum shaped case flaked by figures of a reclining lady and a putto, emblematic of Learning and Love, surmounted by doves and a flaming torch on a basket, the shaped rectangular base with drum shaped ends moulded with a stiff leaf band on scroll and key pattern bands, impressed mark, year cypher for 1864 (some damages and old restoration) -- 47cm. wide
