A rare late 18th/early 19th-Century "Zimmeruhr" German equinoctial sundial,
unsigned, with silvered-brass dials, engraved scales labelled Frühlina, Sommer, Herbst and Winter, the hour plate engraved I-XII (X2) with upper and lower pin gnomons, fixed to the lacquered-brass limb reading against the silvered quadrant scale engraved 0°-90°, decorated with scrolls, the rococco plummet support with plummet on compass base arranged to rotate over the horizontal plate, engraved in four quadrants with rococco scroll decoration and three adjustable screw-levelling feet, the base -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) square
