Provenance
There is a record in Crabb Robinson's diary of his receiving the Final Memorials from Talfourd, Lamb's close friend and executor, on August 3, 1848 (see p. 324 of the first edition, 1869). "Every page of your own composition exhibits the congeniality of spirit that qualified you to be the biographer of Charles and Mary Lamb," he wrote to Talfourd.
