An unusual fan, the leaf painted with two Turks with shotguns guarding a lady carrying a table and two others, one displaying a portrait, the other with a tambourine standing before a portrait mounted on a carriage, with a church beyond, with pairs of carved, pierced, silvered and gilt tortoiseshell sticks alternating with pairs of mothe of pearl sticks - 9in. (23cm.), circa 1775
