of octagonal form with flattened wavy rims and stepped reticulated bases, painted and gilt with shaped panels of scrolling chrysanthemums, peonies and lotus, all within bands of floral cartouches and geometric designs -- 13½in. (37.2cm.) to 15½in. (39.4cm.) wide, 18th Century, (some restoration and old wear.)
