seated on a saddled horse standing four square on a rectanular base, the figure wearing a tunic and tabbed hat with his arms held out before him, a hound seated behind him above saddle bags laden with pheasants and rabbits, the bridled horse with its head turned to the left and mouth slightly open, traces of red and black pigments remaining -- 19in. (48.2cm.) high, Tang Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear.)
