An elaborate prop dagger of silver painted metal, the blade comprising two entwined serpents with hissing heads, the hilt of dark brown imitation snakeskin -- 15¼in. (38.7cm.) -- made for the 1981 Dino de Laurentiis film Conan The Barbarian in the scene where King Osric played by Max Von Sydow dispatches Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Valeria (Sandhal Bergman) to rescue his daughter from the leader of the Snake cult, Thulsa Doom, showing them the dagger to illustrate the evil of the cult; accompanied by a letter from the vendor regarding the provenance (2)
