Provenance
By descent. The train is believed to have been given to the vendor's uncle by marriage in infancy. Born in 1849, he died in 1855 and the train was duly passed to the vendor's father-in-law, born in 1856; it was then passed to his son, born in 1902, and thence to his wife in 1994.
