A VERY RARE SILVER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF MANJUSRI

The goddess seated on a rockwork platform beside a bottle vase, wearing a voluminous flowing robe with deep folds, the robe open at the chest to reveal a beaded necklace, her hands crossed and resting on her raised right knee, in her right hand the scroll of wisdom, her face lowered with a benign expression below a headscarf partially covering her hair, the robes and vase inlaid with silver-wire clouds and foliate scrolls, inscribed to the reverse Yutang Shisou (several silver wires missing)--14 1/4in.
