A VERY RARE PAIR OF DOUCAI OCTAGONAL JARDINIERES AND ENGLISH GILT- ORMOLU STANDS
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN A LINE BELOW THE RIM AND OF THE PERIOD
The thickly potted body of octagonal section with a circular aperture through the base, finely painted to each of the curved rectangular panels with one of the eight Buddhist Immortals with their respective attributes, several together with attendants, all in an outdoor setting, above a lotus-scroll border above the splayed foot encircled by a floral diaper border, the flat-lipped rim further decorated with flowering branches, the stands cast as four winged sirens on an octagonal base supported by lion-paw feet (jardinieres restored)
