Finely enamelled to one side with a shaped panel containing a scholar with attendants on a terrace looking over a turbulent sea, pointing to a crane carrying a message stick to the home of the Immortals, the reverse with scholars beside a river bank and cliffs, all reserved on a sgraffiato lime-green ground with elaborate flower scrolls
