A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE HORSE
17TH/18TH CENTURY

The recumbent horse curling its head and legs to the right, the tail swishing to the right, the mane and tail lightly incised, the underside strongly carved to show the legs and hoofs, the stone of even pale celadon tone with russet inclusions to the neck and shoulders and some fibrous inclusions, with a fine smooth polish (left foreleg restuck, minute chip)
