The Antwerp born artist, is recorded to have worked in Charleroi from 1766 onwards. He seems to have concentrated on portraits, coats-of-arms, decorative cycles and religious scenes, of which one has been preserved in the Saint Fiacre, Charleroi (see Saur, Allgemeines Kýnstler-Lexikon, etc., eds. E. Kasten, A. Mýhlner & A. Nabert, vol.XI, 1996, p.543).
