A pair of large Imari baluster jars and covers

The baluster sides painted with two peacocks perched on pierced rockwork issuing branches of flowering peony, pomegranate blossom, chrysanthemum and peach blossom, between a cloud-collar around the shoulder enclosing further blooms reserved on a whorl-pattern ground and a raised band around the foot with lappets enclosing flower-sprays on a similar ground, the domed covers surmounted by Buddhistic-lion finial (the finials replaced in wood, one cover with rim restoration)
