Delicately enamelled to the centre with a lady seated behind a table watching two others standing in the garden beside heron, a young child also observing them from behind a porch, encircled at the well by a gilt, iron-red and sepia narrow band of meandering foliage, the trellis-pattern everted rim enriched with butterflies among sprays of peony, bamboo, vine and plum blossom below a key-pattern border (enamels rubbed to the centre)
